Casa de Memphis I is a newly built, fully air-conditioned modern two story house located on the Pacific Ocean’s Playa Pelada in Nosara, Costa Rica. Playa Pelada is the beach in the middle of the three beaches that make up the expatriate community along the Pacific coast. Playa Pelada is known for its swimming, while Guiones to the south is known for its surfing. Playa Nosara to the north is for the very serious surfer.

The uniqueness is brought on by Casa de Memphis I’s location. Located on the beach where the Pacific Ocean meets the Jungle, Casa de Memphis is foots steps not kilometers from the Ocean, Jungle, Rio Nosara, Monkeys and the list goes on. It is almost impossible NOT to see monkeys in the trees along side the house from any one of the two balconies upstairs. In Nosara, the beauty of Costa Rica begins at the gate of Casa de Memphis I, located on the corner of peace and quiet! (There are eight private houses located at the northern entrance of Playa Pelada. Casa de Memphis I & II are two of the eight and are just around the corner from one another.)

                                                                              

The first floor is tiled through out and trimmed in a deep dark red trim more commonly associated with fine furnisher. As you come through the front door you can not miss the 9 foot hand painted surfboard by local artist and surf instructor, Dee Dee John that hangs in the sitting room over one of the two couches.

 If you want to give your neck a break from watching the monkeys play in the trees above, turn on the TV and check out the satellite reception or put in a DVD and watch a movie. (The house has a DVD collection and loads of DVDs can be rented at several locations in the area in both English and Spanish.) The kitchen has everything you will need while you enjoy your stay. If you have any special request just let us know before hand and we will try and make it available. Also on the first floor is a dinning room for 6 and a half bath. Just outside on the back patio is a stainless steel gas grill.

 

Up stairs are two spacious master bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom, vaulted ceilings and queen size bed. The bigger of the two has a set of bunk beds tucked into a cut out by the window facing the ocean. One of the joys of the house is to open the bedrooms doors to the balconies and let the ocean breeze flow through the house while listening to the  birds and the surf. 

The house is fully equipped for the traveling
vacationer. There is a floor mounted safe, a secure off rode gated parking area (No need to lock it), a washer and dryer, telephone, outside shower, gas grill and a huge pool with a cabana! The only thing the house lacks for is you!
